Can guests contribute anonymously?

At The Wedding Shop, we understand that every couple - and every guest - has their own preferences when it comes to gifting. However, to ensure proper record-keeping and to give couples the opportunity to thank their guests personally, we don’t offer a fully anonymous gifting option.

Why guest information is collected:

We ask guests for their name and email address during the checkout process so that you can receive a notification when a gift has been pledged and later use our handy Thank You Manager to send a personal message of appreciation. This process helps ensure no one’s generosity goes unacknowledged!

🪄 Looking for a little surprise?

While anonymous gifting isn’t possible, we do offer something special: Surprise Gifting ✨
If a guest chooses this option, they can purchase any item from our 300+ brand partners - even if it’s not already on your gift list.

You’ll still be able to see the gift once it's pledged, but it gives guests the flexibility to choose something they think you’ll love. And if it turns out you had something else in mind, no problem - you can swap surprise gifts for another item from our brand partners before your order is placed.

Summary:
