At The Wedding Shop, we work a little differently from traditional retailers. Because we don’t hold stock, every gift you receive is personally sourced from our trusted brand partners after you’ve confirmed your order. This personalised approach ensures you get the most flexibility and choice – but it can sometimes mean we encounter stock issues during the ordering process.

Why gifts may be delayed or out of stock

We only find out about an item being out of stock when we go to place your order with the supplier. Occasionally, despite appearing available when added to your list, an item may be temporarily unavailable when we come to order it. If this happens:

  • We’ll update your Track Order page with the latest information.

  • Any out-of-stock items will be flagged clearly in your next order update email.

  • Where available, we’ll show a “Back in stock” date, so you know when we expect to receive the item.

  • If no stock date is confirmed, we’ll continue to follow up with our supplier to keep you informed.

What happens with out-of-stock or delayed items?

If an item is out of stock or comes from a supplier with a longer lead time, you’ll always have the option to:

  • Wait for the item to come back into stock

  • Or cancel the item from your order and use the value towards another gift from any of our 300+ brand partners

You’re in control – just let us know your preference via your Track Order page or by getting in touch with Customer Care.

What if an item is discontinued?

If a gift has been discontinued by the supplier, we’ll:

  • Notify you as soon as possible

  • Automatically cancel the item from your order

  • Credit the amount to your account

  • Give you the freedom to choose another gift or use the funds elsewhere within our offering

We’re here to make sure you receive gifts you’ll love, and our team is always on hand to help you make changes if something becomes unavailable.
